Delivery of the fulltime courses is predominantly college-based training, in conjunction with opportunities to apply skills in the work place, as professional industry experience.

The course combines face-to–face trainer led theory classes, with demonstrations and frequent opportunities for practical make-up application and product making.
Classes are held in a simulated work place environment, where students have access to equipment, products and facilities that mirror the industry.

Students are able to film and photograph their practical work as a permanent record. This provides them with a portfolio of work to use when applying for a position in the industry.
